Iranian entrepreneur Anoushe Ansari has been recognised by Working Woman magazine as the winner of the 2000 National Entrepreneurial Excellence award and has received the honor of being listed in Fortune magazine’s “40 Under 40″ in 2001, at the age of 17 is all set to add another feather to her cap as being the first Muslim women to venture out into space.

Yes, the 38 year old lady who has become a phenomenon in herself being the founder and president of the US-based Telecom Technologies Company will be part of the Russian Soyuz space mission scheduled for 2007. And with this she’ll be the first Middle Eastern woman to travel in space which she takes as a great honour.

Anoushe Ansari can be an inspiration before other women who are still contained in their shells and not just this she is a representative of the power and force that Muslim women can put on display if given a chance.

Thanks Himadree
