I am afraid the findings say so! One in two young women were discontented with their appearance and that they would consider undergoing plastic surgery.
The poll of 25,000 people, mostly aged 17 to 34, reveals how today’s youth struggles with the size zero effect. Unsurprisingly, women were revealed unhappier than men with respect to their body image.
Nearly half of the women asserted that they miss out a meal to lose weight. While a third of size 12 women and two thirds of size 14 women think, they are overweight or fat.
Interestingly, both sizes are still below the UK average of a size 16.
On the contrary, approximately half of men said they were ‘okay’ with how they look and one in 10 were ‘very happy’ with their appearance.
