Laura Silsby, founder and CEO of Boise-based PersonalShopper.com was named the 2006 International Businesswoman of the Year by eWomenNetwork, an international women’s business network.
She became victorious after beating 1500 women in the membership-based network because of her visionary leadership, impressive accomplishments, and strong commitment to helping others.
In addition to the free service her company provides, Silsby is a children’s advocate, and she established Kids Changing Lives, a nationwide program in which elementary schools raise money for surgeries for children in developing countries who can’t otherwise afford medical care.

She started making films and television in 1997 and since then directed several documentaries and TV-programs. She did her education from The National Film School of Denmark, department of documentary and television, graduated in 2003.
