I just came across a product called “Buddy“, the blow up car pal, which is an inflatable life sized man’s dummy. This is designed to be seated inside the cars of women drivers who drive home alone and feel scared. The manufacturers feel that this Buddy will make those females feel safer when they travel alone after dark.

The manufacturers claim that t it will help women put off road-rage attacks, car jacking and intimidating behaviour by other motorists. Agreed, that you can fool others at night by that dummy sitting beside you at night, but don’t you think the trouble causing elements on the road are no way fools and not blind of course. If they decide of attacking a car, they will definitely make sure of who is sitting beside them...a man or an airbag.

Yes, women do feel scared of driving alone but that doesn’t mean a non-living thing can suffice the need of a fellow passenger...at the end of the day you are no kid and know very well that he is not going to be of any help when need arise.

But still, there’s no harm getting one buddy, at least you’ll have a mental satisfaction that you spent some amount for your safety. It won’t take much of the space when deflated and comes stored in a glove box and fills with air in 60 seconds when connected to a car’s cigarette lighter socket.
