In the early weeks of December, Ankara and Istanbul will experience the rocking concert of Eleni Karaindrou, the celebrated Greek composure.
It’ll gonna be a part of a mission entitled Encounter of North-South Musicians for Peace organized by the Şişli Municipality.
zdem Petek, the program’s producer stated that it will be of great significance as it’ll serve as a culmination of two events. That is,
1. Encounter of North-South Musicians for Peace, and
2. PERA FEST 2006
The fiesta will be supervised by Vecdi Sayar who has given place to well known Greek artists like, Savina Yannatou, Nicos, Melina Tanagri and Themis Bazaka.
It’ll also serve as an altar to build up intercultural relations.
Karaindrou, who is famous as the composer of soundtracks of Theo Angelopoulos’ films, one of the most significant masters of the world cinema, will perform her own works in the performance. The program includes her soundtracks for the films

2. The Suspended Step of the Stork
3. Ulysses’ Gaze
4. Eternity and a Day
5. The Beekeeper
6. Voyage to Cythera
7. Landscape in the Mist
Her concerts have met with artistic success and huge response from the public. During the last decade, her music has dominated international audiences as far apart as New York and Japan, where her work has met with great success.
