CJME News Talk radio has posed a question to the society to react to the first ever death of the female Canadian soldier in Afghanistan on Wednesday.

The question posed is “Do Female Soldiers Make Battle Unsafe?” and is it OK to place women on the same position in military as men or it is better to keep them of the combats or they should not at all be there.

If you are giving decision, simply focusing on the physical differences between the two sexes, it’s gonna be a limited approach. If a woman is actually willing to take over in the battle, and she is well trained and equipped, then I do not think she can be any way less than the men soldiers on the field.

Moreover, as far as tagging this attempt as a “social experiment” by Retired Brigadier General Cliff Walker is concerned, I would say that every new revolution starts off as an experiment which has equal chances of being successful or flop. Moreover, women are no new to military. Many countries have women army...so I don’t think this is an experiment.
