The government has launched a fresh attempt to tackle obesity problem in England. Caroline Flint, Public Health Minister has been given the task of handling the obesity issue, which is on rise.
According to the statistical report if nothing changes one in every three people will be obese by 2010. However, Flint wants her fellow citizens to be healthy by building up physical activity to their daily life so that they may be able to participate in 2012 Olympics.
Ms. Flint is working across all government departments to develop a new fitness strategy for England. Accordingly she held her views by saying, ‘I have been given the role of looking across government departments as to how we can better look at the policies we have and how we spend our money to enable people to improve their health’.
