YUKA YAMAMOTO is a Japanese housewife married for six years, off lately she took out $2,000 from her savings and decided to try her hand at online stock investing.

And today the lady has already made $1 million as a day trader, right in the comforts of her home, on her PC scanning the price movements in stocks, futures and foreign currencies that will get her good gains in future. What more she has also written books and addressed seminars to encourage other women to enter into this arena.

This is one example showing that day-trading has taken off in Japan - world’s second-largest financial market, after the United States...and has taken off very well. The number of accounts at Japan’s electronic brokerage firms reached 7.9 million last September, up from 296,941 in 1999, when the first such firm opened, as per the Japan Security Dealers Association.

Apart from bringing a turning point in Japan’s economy, online trading poses as a great money spinner for many sharp minded and smart housewives who cannot move out of their homes and work de to several factors.
