Arianna Huffington a nationally syndicated columnist, author of 11 books and co-founder of the influential blog the Huffington Pos, holds a master’s in economics from Cambridge University and is co-host of the nationally syndicated public radio program ‘Left, Right & Center.’ shares some of her personal experiences on mastering anxiety through her new book, On Becoming Fearless.
The book also tells the stories of other women, including film actress Diane Keaton and TV producer Marcy Carsey. While it is aimed at women, she believes both sexes should read it.
The politics involved in the book is about gender issues and media messages that, in Huffington’s opinion, are harming women.
The book is divided into sections that delve into sexuality, careers, parenthood and more.
In the end, Huffington concludes by saying, ‘The final chapter is called ‘Fearless About Changing the World.’ My message is that it’s impossible to be fulfilled if our lives are about only ourselves. ... When we are passionate about a cause, an idea, our community - it doesn’t have to be global - it immediately makes it easier for us to deal with our own everyday fears’.
