Very soon, the world will see more rich women than men in Britain. YES its true 



According to the latest estimate, women will legally call themselves millionaires by 2020. Though its strange for a country that has one of the worst pay gaps in the EU. But a paper from the Centre for Economics and Business Research released at the weekend gives such an impression.



Various causes have been put forward in support of the view. Some of them are as follows:



1. According to Jaspreet Sehmi, economist at the Centre for Economic and Business Research., the longevity of women is the cause of their becoming richer.

2. Some have given divorce as a cause of their ‘richness’. While still others think that, many women prefer to stay single and thus focus on earning more money.

3. Nearly a fifth of the women who made last year’s Sunday Times Rich List attributed their fortune to some form of investment, often property.

4. Semi holds the view that there is increasing number of women playing the stock market.

5. Another reason Semi gives is that ‘women now have better jobs and higher salaries than they ever did. Partly it’s coming from firms actively looking to recruit women, even running schemes in order to get them into the company’.

6. Jackie Brierton, director of policy at women’s business network Prowess, agrees and says that women have adopted themselves into flexible working and can easily into the corporate sector.



Well, whatever the reasons maybe, the women are actually coming out of their shells and through their sheer intellectuality showing the world that they are not behind in any sphere.
