When was Three Paper Pigs started? How did it come about? The name is very much unique, any history behind it?

Jeanne: Three Paper Pigs began in March 2004, when I lay awake one night. I wanted to squeeze every last bit of creative juice left in my thoughts before closing my eyes. I just finished reading the popular tale, “Three Little Pigs” to my daughter. As I rose to get a last drink of water, I stepped over the splendid storybook I read for three nights in a row. The cover revealed portly pigs that looked so cute with their round tummies and curly tails, not to mention they were pink... a promising logo indeed!

What inspires you? Where do your ideas come from?

Jeanne: Personal success stories inspire me. My daughter’s pure-hearted enthusiasm inspires me. Things like window displays, fashion, vintage soap labels, wallpaper, fabric and those last minute thoughts before bed inspire me to create the cards you see at Three Paper Pigs. I saw an odd pair of wedge heels in a window the other day and thought, what a great color combination and pattern for a card! Now and again, on an extremely lucky evening (my designated design time); I sit at the computer and effortlessly whip out a handful of new designs with my mouse. I have grown to love my right-handed mouse even though I am left-handed.

Is there a team at the back of Three Paper Pigs? If yes, how many people do you employ?

Jeanne: No, I am the sole owner and operator of my business.

From where exactly Three Paper Pigs operates? What sort of response are you getting?

Jeanne: I operate Three Paper Pigs from a studio located in Northern California in the US. I have many loyal customers both locally and online. I receive inquiries from all over the world.

How do you market your website? Do you have some online stores as well?

Jeanne: I market my website through linking with similar businesses, placing ads online and sending out postcard mailers to potential customers and retailers. There are other online retailers that sell Three Paper Pigs’ products.

The whole Internet, of course, as a media, is moving towards Web 2.0. How far do you think the phenomenon has emerged successfully?

Jeanne: I honestly do not follow media or business trends.

What is the future of this networking? Any predictions on growth pattern?

Jeanne: N/A.
