Number of women aviators is on a rise in India. It feels great to know that the aviation industry that was just a male domain till now is seeing the entry of women that too in great numbers. India has more than 100 of them now, but still the figure is just five percent of the total pilot force in India.
The reasons that take women to flying apart from a good career option are really larger than life, including the freedom that they feel when they are in the sky, that’s far off from all kinds of bondages...its an overwhelming feeling.
It gives them a sense of achievement. People find it hard to digest that a woman can be a pilot...they have accepted her to be just a hostess till now...but now she has the controls of your flight people. So just watch out....for women in India are all set to to take a leap.
