Since the crown of victory has worn by the women volleyball team of Russia at Women’s World Championship in Japan, so in their honor, Valentin Zhukov, the Vice President of All-Russian Volleyball Federation has declared an award of $1 m for them.
He said,
‘We have got an idea to take the cup our team won in the World Championship around all the towns, where the girls live. Such a show would contribute to volleyball propaganda.’
The cup will be kept in Russia for 4 years until the next World Championship.
It’s worth jogging your memory that Russia’s national team had gained a victory over Brazil in the final of WC 2006 and won gold of the world championship for the first time in the latest history of Russia.
