It will be a shock to most of you as it was for me to know that teenage girls have become the member of an altogether different school of thought as far as becoming mothers in teenage is concerned.
According to an extensive study, a large majority of teenaged girls is feeling all good about getting pregnant at a small age, they think it as anyways better than going in for a ‘dead end job’. Not just this, they believe that parenting will improve the quality of their lives. Supporting this very notion, most of them are avoiding using any contraceptives.
They feel that having a baby has diverted their minds from other destructive behavior such as drink and drug abuse and have corrected their deprived childhoods.
A revelation like this comes as a blow in the face of government, which has been trying all hard to get away with the fad of teenage pregnancy. They regard these young mothers as irresponsible as they are ignoring the contraceptive measures.
At a juncture when teenage pregnancy is rising like anything, a study like this can worsen the situation. Therefore, government is trying really hard to give a clear picture of all the pros and cons about the issue highlighting the fact that teenage girls from impoverished families are rather vulnerable to getting pregnant at an early age in comparison to those from affluent families.
