Voices at the Bottom of the Pyramid is a documentary by Yasmin Ahmed shot in India keeping the focus on women belonging to the Mumbai working class.
The struggle and hardships that women have to counter everyday, their dreams, their aspirations and hopes have a strong a place in this documentary that has been made as a trailer to Ahmed’s new film Gubra that’s all set to release on April 6.
Screening of the documentary is scheduled for today as a part of Kelab Seni Filem Malaysia’s Malaysian Documentaries showcase.

She started making films and television in 1997 and since then directed several documentaries and TV-programs. She did her education from The National Film School of Denmark, department of documentary and television, graduated in 2003.
