A woman riding a mobike is no more astonishing now...today the motorcycles are no more men’s stuff and women have shifted from the pillion to the throttle.This trend is very much clear from the number of women motorcycle buyers.
The percentage of such buyers has increased from 8 percent to 10 percent with a period ranging from 1998 to 2003.
They say the increase is largely due to the baby-boomer women who have large amount of disposable income — and more time on their hands and they are through with all that family raising stuff. And the manufacturers are mincing big time bucks with this trend by making bikes that are more women friendly and they are even bringing custom designs that are specially suiting the women folk.
