Despite the study that shows that more and more young women are quitting their jobs, still there are certain work areas that are being preferred by women. One such area is accounting. Studies show that number of women taking up accounting as there field of working has increased over the past 20 years.
Federal Government have figures showing that Women represent nearly 61 percent of accountants and auditing professionals, up from about 39 percent in 1983, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Current Population Survey.
There was a time when more males were drawn towards this profession, but today women are outnumbering them.Apart from this you would be glad to know that women had received 30 percent of the partnership promotions within the last three years.
