Financial Times has announced the worlds richest self made women as Ms. Zhang Yin who is ‘worth an estimated $3.4bn’. This female Tree Hugging entrepreneur started up Nine Dragons paper just a few years ago. She owns 72 percent of her listed company. She buys scrap paper from USA and processes it in China for sale.
Zhang Yin surpassed US talk show host Oprah Winfrey and The Harry Potter author J.K.Rowling. It all is credited to this woman’s sincere efforts as the return on capital employed (ROCE) offered by investment in paper making in general is very low.
Also china has a devastated native forest and unfortunately has failed to develop effective forestry programmes thus paper industries are usually forced to rely on North America to pull it into a scrap cellulose depletion mode to serve non American markets. Thus contribution of Ms. Zhang has been tremendous.
We are hopeful that she would be a role model for young upcoming women entrepreneurs.
